Common questions
Do I need a developer to install the widget?
No. You copy one line of code and paste it into your website. It works on any platform that lets you add custom HTML, such as WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace or Wix. Some site builders only allow custom code on paid plans. If you can paste text, you can install ReviewWidget.
How often do reviews sync?
Reviews sync from Google on a six-hour schedule. New reviews then appear on your site with no manual action.
Will this slow down my website?
Not at all. The widget script loads asynchronously and renders inside a Shadow DOM, so it can't interfere with your site's CSS or JavaScript.
Can I choose which reviews to display?
Yes. The Review Moderation feature lets you hide any review with one click. You can't edit the review text (that comes from Google), but you control what shows up on your site.
What happens if I disconnect my Google account?
New reviews stop syncing immediately. Previously cached reviews remain visible on your widget until you delete the widget or workspace. You can reconnect at any time to resume syncing.
Is my Google data safe?
Absolutely. We only access what we need (Business Profile reviews), we never sell your data, and we comply with Google's Limited Use requirements. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
